4worldlovers: Our Tiny Tykes and their parents are led through a variety of beginning stretches, exercises, infant songs and dances, baby-safe rides and adventures, balance and agility skills, and introductory tumbling during this class.

In this age group, teaching physical skills is a priority while also emphasizing the development of social skills and encouraging them to become good listeners, follow directions, co-operate within a group, and stretch their personal boundaries. Teachers’ interactions are now primarily directed towards the children to create a peer bond and nurture their self confidence and independence.

Strong focus on independence as children are on the gym floor without a parent. Our teachers introduce gymnastic skills that build strength, flexibility, and agility. The children are also ready to refine core gross motor skills such as running, jumping, hopping, throwing and catching. Through games, we prepare the children for team sports and cooperation, and nurture the children’s willingness to explore beyond their comfort zone to build self-confidence and a sense of achievement.

I have put all four kids in My Gym from 6 months. It has always been the activity my kids look forward to the most. In 60 minutes, the class manages to incorporate social, music, singing, dancing and gymnastic skills. Despite going through the class so many times, the curriculum never gets boring. They change the class, the obstacle course, the activities and songs, weekly, and they do a thorough job making sure hygiene is top notch. The teachers are friendly, engaging and care deeply for the children. We have even stayed friends with the moms and kids we met in class! We highly recommend My Gym to everyone!

It’s hard to find a lot of space in Hong Kong so My Gym’s open-style arena was very refreshing and gave my son plenty of freedom to practice his crawling. The class instructors were energetic and encouraging, making sure to engage the kids with activity stations that promote body awareness and build strength. We liked that the class was structured to include both new activities and set ones likes puppet show, swings and circle time. Our favorite part of every week was looking forward to the “Big Deal” - a creatively stimulating activity that my son always enjoyed!
