The Hong Kong China Dragon Boat Association (the "Association") has long been playing a vital role to drive, develop, promote, manage and organize competitive and social dragon boating activities in Hong Kong since its inception in Year 1991. The Association is not only an affiliate member of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, but also a founding member of three dragon boat organizations, the International Dragon Boat Federation, Asian Dragon Boat Federation and Hong Kong Water Sports Council.

Hong Kong VRC Paddle Team is comprised of enthusiastic and competitive athletes who love ocean sports. We paddle and race dragon boat and outrigger canoe. The team trains all year round, and competes locally and internationally. Our fleet included Hawaiian Standard and Outrigger Zone Malolo Outrigger Canoes.

The team was founded in 1999 to promote mixed dragon boat racing in Hong Kong.

​Since then, we have evolved to become a competitive and successful crew, without losing the fun social elements that bring us together. We race locally and internationally and this year will travel to France to compete in the Club World Crew Championships.

We have made our home on Tai Wan To Beach (locally known as Power-Station Beach) in Yung Shue Wan, on Lamma Island (Hong Kong). Seven years on, we have a fleet of four six-person canoes (OC6s), two three-person canoes (OC3s) and a numerous personally owned OC1s (singles)

After years of paddling together, we have formed a tight-knit community of paddlers, but are always eager to get new people enjoying the sport and going out on the water!

We organise trainings, races, open days, and other social events! Don't hesitate to say hi :)

Like all good tales, the legend of Stormy’s began with three friends in a bar. Today we stand strong with hundreds of members and alumni scattered across the globe.

We give thanks to the communities we paddle with by hiring local coaches and donating to the Stanley Sea School and the Village of Tai Tam.

The natural stone clubhouse at Deep Water Bay is a paddlers dream. Uniquely located on the south side of Island Road between Shouson Hill and Repulse Bay the clubhouse enjoys extraordinary waterfront access to Deep Water Bay.
